During a dawn run in Central Park, American Ballet Theatre principal Isabella Cross overhears a U.S. senator handing classified missile-defense access to Russian operatives — then finds the footage doctored to erase the senator and paint her as a terror suspect.

Detained at a remote Adirondack facility, she meets Agent Gabriel Storm, whose contradictory orders convince him the case against her is manufactured, and the two flee together through the wilderness while a politically ambitious handler hunts them.

As they cross state and international borders and enlist Gabriel’s fugitive brother, Isabella’s dancer’s discipline becomes a survival asset and the wary alliance deepens into something both of them have to choose openly.
