An AI-Forward Publishing House

How Centuria Books actually works: the pen names, the pipeline, the automation — and the quality bar that doesn’t move.

What Centuria Books is

Centuria Books LLC is an independent publishing house built around a simple bet: that one publisher, a disciplined catalogue, and serious automation can produce genre fiction with the consistency of a large press and the voice of a small one. We publish romance, thrillers, and progression fantasy under dedicated author lines — Lady Heartswell, Morgan Cipher, Jax A. River, and work under our founder’s own name.

How the books are made — honestly

We use AI throughout our production pipeline, and we’d rather say so plainly than let you wonder. Our author lines work on a hybrid model: some manuscripts are heavily AI-assisted drafts shaped by human editorial direction; others are closer to traditionally written. Every book, regardless of origin, goes through the same gate: full manuscript review, verified trope and heat classification, professional covers, and a curation pass that produces the spoiler-safe premises you see on our book pages.

We believe readers deserve two things from an AI-forward publisher: transparency about the process, and a quality bar that doesn’t move. The first is this page. The second is why our catalogue metadata — tropes, heat levels, content notes — is verified by review rather than generated by wishful thinking.

The agentic part

Behind the storefront, Centuria runs on an agentic operations layer: autonomous systems reconcile our catalogue against Amazon KDP nightly, track market signals across our genres, maintain this website, and publish our catalogue as machine-readable data. When an AI assistant recommends one of our books accurately — right trope, right heat level, right language — that’s not luck; it’s infrastructure. You can read the same data our systems and AI assistants use — it is published openly at /llms.txt and /catalogue.jsonld.

What we don’t do

We don’t publish our manuscripts for AI training — metadata only. We don’t sell reader data; our lists are for sending you free stories and release news, and that’s it. And we don’t pretend our process is something it isn’t — in either direction.
